Storage & Preparation
What makes your lamb different from grocery store lamb?
Our Star-K Glatt Kosher lamb comes from local pasture-raised sheep that graze freely on natural grasslands before being grain-finished for optimal tenderness. Unlike mass-market lamb, our sheep are raised without antibiotics or added hormones, resulting in cleaner flavor and superior quality that you can taste in every bite.
Where does your lamb come from?
We source our lamb from local farms where sheep are raised using traditional pasture-based methods. Our sheep spend their lives grazing on natural pastures, promoting both animal welfare and the development of naturally flavorful, tender meat.
What kosher supervision do you use for lamb?
All our lamb is certified Star-K Glatt Kosher, representing the highest standard of kosher supervision. This ensures every aspect of raising, processing, and packaging meets the strictest kashrut requirements.
How long does your lamb stay fresh?
Fresh lamb should be used within 3-5 days when properly refrigerated, or can be frozen for up to 9 months. Ground lamb should be used within 1-2 days if refrigerated, or frozen immediately for longer storage.
What's the best way to store and freeze lamb?
Keep lamb in the coldest part of your refrigerator in its original packaging. For freezing, wrap tightly in plastic wrap, then place in freezer bags to prevent freezer burn. Label with dates and use frozen cuts within 9 months, ground lamb within 3-4 months for best quality.
