Kosher Certification
Storage & Preparation
What makes your fish different from grocery store fish?
Our wild-caught Massachusetts cod is sourced directly from the pristine Nantucket Shoals off the Massachusetts coast by local fishermen. Unlike farm-raised fish, our wild-caught cod develops naturally in cold North Atlantic waters, resulting in firmer texture, cleaner taste, and no artificial additives or fish farm chemicals.
How fresh is your fish when it arrives?
Our fish is caught, processed, and flash-frozen or kept on ice immediately to preserve peak freshness. We maintain the cold chain from boat to your door, ensuring you receive fish that tastes like it was just pulled from Massachusetts waters.
How do I know your fish is kosher?
All our fish products are certified kosher under strict rabbinical supervision. Cod is a naturally kosher fish with both fins and scales, making it permissible under kashrut laws. Each package displays appropriate kosher certification symbols.
How long does your fish stay fresh?
Fresh fish should be used within 1-2 days of delivery when properly refrigerated. If you can't use it immediately, freeze it right away—frozen fish maintains quality for up to 6 months when properly stored.
What's the best way to store fish?
Keep fresh fish in the coldest part of your refrigerator (32-38°F), preferably on ice in a covered container. For freezing, wrap tightly in plastic wrap, then place in freezer bags to prevent freezer burn. Label with the date for tracking.
